Organic fibers

Comfort, quality, and wearability are paramount. Especially when wearing clothing for many hours a day. However, creating menique clothing alone is not enough. We seek to do the right thing and want to feel good about everything we create. In an effort to be as eco-conscious as possible, we grew to appreciate living sustainably, in harmony with our surroundings.

From the natural and sustainable materials we use to how we develop and create our styles. From our hands to your doorstep, each piece of the item has gone through a number of quality control tests for strength and softness.

Carefully sourced material

Organically grown Merino wool comes from nature meaning that it is a 100% recyclable and renewable resource. It is flexible, bends softly against the skin, and does not itch at all.

A team of experienced professionals cut, sew, wash, dye and iron menique pieces. No machine can be smart enough to replace human beings.

Luxurious wool fabric

Cashmere's origin in the soft undercoat of cashmere goats contributes to its luxury status, with its fine, lightweight fibers prized for their exceptional warmth and luxurious softness.

Earth-friendly fabric

Linen is a sustainable textile carefully made from the fibers of the flax plant which makes it biodegradable, leaving behind a small environmental footprint.

Softness of fluffy fibers

Sourced from the fluffy fibers surrounding the seeds of the cotton plant, is a natural fabric prized for its softness, breathability, and comfort.

FAQ about our materials

Make sure to check the care label on the individual item.

Linen. Machine wash in lukewarm or cold water on gentle cycle or linen wash setting, and with similar colors. Never use bleaches or softeners. Tumble dry on low heat or hang to dry for the best results. No iron necessary – enjoy the natural creases and crumples. However, if you still want an item pressed, use a medium-hot iron on the steam setting.

We recommend looking at the actual fabric by ordering a samples swatch. We do our best to represent products as precisely as possible online but can’t guarantee a color will display accurately on your computer screen.

Merino

The distinction between 160gsm and 250gsm Merino wool lies in their respective weights, measured in grams per square meter (gsm). A higher gsm indicates a denser and heavier fabric, while a lower gsm means the fabric is lighter.

The lighter 160gsm Merino wool is well-suited for warmer weather conditions, like summer, due to its lower weight and increased breathability, making it comfortable for various activities during hot days. On the other hand, the midweight 250gsm Merino wool offers excellent insulation and thickness, making it ideal for colder weather, providing extra warmth and comfort during chilly climates.

Hence, when choosing between these two options, consider the specific weather conditions and activities to ensure the most suitable and comfortable choice for your needs.

Yes, merino wool clothing is suitable for warm weather. Its natural breathability and moisture-wicking properties help regulate body temperature, keeping you cool and comfortable even in hot conditions.

Layering merino wool clothing is an effective way to stay warm in cold weather. Start with a lightweight (160GSM) merino wool base layer to wick moisture away from the skin, add a mid-layer for insulation, and finish with a waterproof outer layer for protection against the elements.
